Packaging

Every good product comes from good packaging, we at Erynoole have selected for you the best packaging in terms of environmental sustainability, both in terms of the materials used and in terms of emissions emitted for the production of the packaging itself.

Below we will illustrate all the features that make this packaging as ecological as possible, explaining in detail the materials used and their properties, because it is very important for us to be sustainable but it is also important to be transparent with you about our sustainability.

Compostable bags:

Our bags are industrially compostable, this means that in a correct composting plant they will take from 6 to 12 weeks to completely degrade, and enrich the compost formed with CO2 and other substances useful for plants, contrary to plastics derived from petroleum which take up to 1000 years to decompose without offering anything in terms of nutrients to the soil.

Before getting to the composting phase it is good to know that our bags are first of all reusable, this means that the life time of the product is lengthened, increasing its duration over time, and therefore decreasing the consumption of materials, thus affecting beneficial on climate change, in fact the less resources are used, in terms of materials and energy to produce them, the less the environmental impact that the products will have.

Eco Boxes:

Even our ecological boxes are industrially compostable, as seen previously for bags, and are reusable, furthermore our boxes are made with at least 60% recycled materials, the recycled content is the key element of a circular economy that focuses on the reuse of materials. The use of recycled content, in fact, reduces a company's dependence on virgin materials and the energy used to obtain them.

Our boxes also have FSC® certification, which is the best known certification in the wood market for good reason. This certification simplifies, through a stamp, the often difficult sector of wood and cellulose.

The FSC® carries out regular market audits to ensure that all FSC® certified products for sale actually come from a certified company. FSC® certification also ensures that employees are legally hired, have safe working conditions and are paid in accordance with the guidelines of the International Labor Organization (ILO).

In short, a company may prefer FSC® certified products if it considers circular economy, forest regeneration and ethical work practices to be important, things that we, of course, consider very important and basic to our business.

Finally, our boxes are plastic-free products, that is, they do not have plastic inside them. Traditional plastics are created from polymerized crude oil. This increases the demand for a finite resource, while creating a material that takes thousands of years to degrade.

Plastic-free packaging does not use plastics created in this way. Packaging is the main culprit of pollution, particularly in marine environments. Petroleum-based plastics exacerbate this problem and have a profound effect on the environment and the wildlife that populate it.

Recycled paper envelopes:

Our bags are produced using only recycled and recyclable paper, this means having a packaging composed of 100% organic fiber, therefore plastic-free, that is, they do not have plastics inside them.

To conclude, all our packaging is produced in Europe, this means that to reach our headquarters in Italy, less CO2 will be emitted from the transport systems. The shorter the journey from the production site to the warehouse, the lower the emissions and the carbon footprint.

A tree will be planted for every box and bag sold, in order to further combat CO2 emissions, and make our planet greener and more habitable for all of us.

Recycled Plastic Bags:

Our recycled plastic bags are made from recycled plastic that derives from different sources like bottles, ocean garbage, plastic scraps and so on.... in this way we can remove plastic pollution and instead re-use plastic in a more eco-friendly way. Plastic is a very polluting material, so it is important to recycle and re-use it as much as possible. So please, when you receive a plastic bag from us recycle it properly, Thank you.
